When the party ends, the new journey embarks

Dear my beloved Global BRAND Managers,

It’s my privilege to throw this party to congratulate all of you, to reward your hard work as well as creativity for the 2-months long mega project.

And most importantly, it’s my pleasure to host this party to memorize our WONDERFUL memory between US. So, thanks goes to the Thai government for a financial support, allowing me to spend my pocket money for this party: wow wow wow.

At the very outset of the project, I clearly saw your fear, worry, concern, complaint, etc regarding the blog design—the brand new experience you haven’t explored yet before.

Gradually and surprisingly, I’ve heard, touched, witnessed your bigger step to move out of your COMFORT zone.

It’s my great joy to see how you’ve attempted to make things UNBELIEABLE as a BRAND NEW MANAGER of the brand you chose.

What’s a brave, exciting, challenging STEP!

And most significantly, at the end of the project, I’m more than delighted to learn how you’ve dealt with your FEAR.

This is the greatest REWARD you ALL give me tonight.

I wish you a very bright and successful future. Lastly, I would like you ALL to please remember NOTHING is impossible if you put your heart into it.

Good luck to all of you and thanks again for making the impossible mission possible.

Weapons Englishers need

Joke Syntax, an 480 Englisher, clearly demonstrated via his autobiography that any languages, English in this case, empower and liberate us.

His story flied us to the endless world of imagination. He made us believe that the only 2 weapons to fight with FEAR of using English are GUTS and Imagination.

wanna prove it, go with him at

No Way

(Composed by Eng480 Englisher Chonticha Leelawit)

A special song for one whom crazy about internet
Song Melody: Timeless
Artist: Jang Ri In feat. Xiah (TVXQ)

No way

How can I live if internet’s gone?
How can I just move on if it’s down?
I’ve asked myself everyday and every time.
Here’s the answer that my heart would always say.

* No way,
I guess I can’t live anymore.
If world is without internet, I can be dead.
Oh, my heart would break if
One day I can’t connect to it.
Cause inspiration of mine lies in there
I just greatly need. So I could be,
if internet’s gone, dead.

Somebody may say that I am crazed.
They would say that I’m lazy and do nothing.
They would never know that though I’m stupid,
I just have the only thing which inspires my mind
every time cause

My Google is for my brain.
Youtube be my private cinema.
Facebook is my one favorite online place.

(Repeat *)

Yeah, baby there’s no way.
(Oh baby, there’s no way.)
No way! No, I can’t still be survived.
(Know that the world is without internet, I just can not bear)
So I could be, if internet’s gone,
(if internet’s gone), dead.

ChocoLate or Potatoes Chip ?

Another talented group! started with a video introduction.

You're reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy creative, taking us to go behind scene of the movie business in many sub- departments.
Bigs hands to the plot planner. COOL!!
The director would have a good future, i'm sure. hey girl, let's quit studying and go to the HOLLYWOOD, instead.

It's smart to pick up a K-pop trend into the presentation too. You didn't miss it, huh!! Mr. Chee chiua hua, cool?

All CASTS were equally important. You distributed the roles and the dialogues so so well.
Even the lovely housekeeper still got good dialogues.

the dinning scene was REALLY REALLY great. You captured detailed information of what the business was like after work. You spent time talking and using the natural English here. :))

This group projected the VOICEs very well. Dialogues were clearly heard.
you better get a new major,,,,WHY english?
10/10

Ladies Gaga (yah!!)

hey hey...lalanlandaa
thanks for walking us to the real MAD & CREATIVE & GENIOUS CATSWALKing.......an illusion world.
The magazine world was incredibly shown via your show.

like the ZOO group, you guys put your thinking FIRST and then you executed all the scenes really well.
The rhythm of the show was also fantastic...especially when you switched to the photo shooting scene....those GIRLs ^ the photoman were nuts!!
Better get a new job, girls& guy You have a bright future, gal!
The dialogues were well crafted and articulated (the pinky girl,,,, you're crazy; the applesociety super model, you're awesome! especially when you got drunk!)
Life AFTER dark with a bottle of drink was fun; everyone went nuts and nuts.
that's my favorite scene.

on the whole, I really enjoyed and apprecited your work.
thanks for bringing the world of a MAGAzINE production/marketization (behind the scenes & and etc) to us.

if you don't know how crazy this world is, take a look at the photo!
bravo guys! 10/10

thanks for flying us to a different world....
a gang of pretty ladies among the solo (Helmet) guy!
you captured the atmosphere of multicultural company through:

  • greeting
  • outfits
  • body languages
  • daily routine
  • and a longggggggggggggg introduction of each position. thanks GOD that there're only 10 group members......what would happen if mr. helmet needs to introduce 50 ladies?
  • musical stuff (really like it)
  • dining table (the boss and the rest of you looked gorgeous)
  • food (for you, not for us:::.... too bad: LOL)

the zoo! yes the zoo

first of ALL, the plot, the planning and the execution of the show were SUPERB!

i really love the creative idea!
you took us to see what the NASTY MUSICAL industry looked, sounded, and tasted like...
a very smart way to show us what the real ENTERTAINMENT world was through the following:

  • signing contract
  • negotiation
  • behind the scenes (photo shooting)
  • casting process
  • life after work (celebration!!)
  • Most importantly, The Rhythm of the presentation was really good.

    you're REAL crazy and talented!

The receptionist uniform was cute!! don't you think?
In fact, the accident at the dinning table was supposed to be good if
you

Some parts were missing as i couldn't quite catch the words: (
Thanks for doing a good job::
did you enjoy your talks? i hope you did as i did.

if you fear, don't fall but face it !

if you gave up your hope, you fear of expressing yourself in English, you don't know where to head to, let me share my stories to you . believe me, as a second language learners of English, you're not alone, and NEVER alone.

1988: The Same Oven

On another steamy day in the middle of the same semester, I dropped out of my first writing English course for fear of getting an F. The first three returned essays were painted with the teacher’s red pen—a discriminatory device. I got lost in the English academy; I did not know who I could turn to. Frightened, I silently announced a cold war with that writing teacher. From that moment on, every English writing course turned into an academic jail for me; writing teachers paralyzed me even before they showed up in classrooms.

I did not realize that the magic of the grammar books, TOFEL turotials that I drilled in those days had turned pale; the English grammar tests fooled me. I did not realize that the memorization trick failed me; I knew the rules yet I could not write.

1989: The Same Old Oven

A rural girl from a tiny village without electric power until when i was 14, I hated myself when I could not speak fluent English like my Bangkokian peermates who came from international high schools, who were raised abroad, and who were someone we students wanted to be.

On those summer and rainy days, I found a language laboratory to be my sanctuary;
repeating a dialogue with a tape recorder took me to another world and made me forget my realities outside the lab for awhile.

Reading the Bangkok Post newspaper was just too pricy for me to effort. A corner's bookstore thus, a semester later, became my favorite place to play hide and seek with those eyes who kept watching FREE readers (of course, like me). Here, i enjoyed my imagination, i was free from the writing teachers, and i was ME, even for a temporary moment.

That's how a girl next door like me made friends with ENGLISH, the language of others at that time, yet the language of mine now.

What's about you!

Teacher's journal

one evening ago, i asked you to grow a plant.
one evening later , you gave me a forest.
many days ago, i told you to learn to fish.
some feared; some didn't.
last night, you served me the first-class meal with the fish you caught.

many dreams ago, i wanted to be taught by playing with imagination.
one reality ago, i just learned that such imagination was around me.

it is in your eyes, smiles, shyness, fears and laughters.

Thank you for your hearts, energy, and every single great effort you put into your work.
You don't know how much i've been inspired by ALL of You.

You're the reason i want to walk into the class, break down the classroom wall and turn it into a playground.

OMG! Moms on Facebook

ENG480 Reflective essay# 2
(120-150 words)
"We're getting to a place where having something like a Facebook account is as normal as having e-mail or a cell phone." Or a spy camera.

"My mother was going to rent a room to a medical student, but after she looked at the student's Facebook page of drunken debauchery, she said no way," said Sandi Svoboda, 41, a writer for Metro Weekly, an alternative newspaper in Detroit.

Older users, Mr. Stutzman added, tend to prefer Facebook to MySpace, which is garish and loud -- you can have your favorite rock song blaring when you open it -- and peppered with big fat Fox ads (the site's owned by Rupert Murdoch) "and you can spam all your friends," he added. Facebook's friendlier, more intimate template resembles those freshman facebooks you studied so intently in college, or an online scrapbook for photos and messages.

Older Facebook users, however, face issues never contemplated by college students.
What if your boss "friends" you and you don't want to be her friend? How many friends are too many? Most studies say that the friends we care about most number, on average, around 10. What does that say, then, about the person with 1,000 "friends?" (Facebook draws the line at 5,000).

Most important, what to do with the friend request from someone you haven't seen in decades? It's not a problem for an 18-year old user, but an all-too-common one for the 54-year-old on Facebook.

The new bloggers

for days, when i returned home from school, i saw a trace of invaders. not certain if those're from Mars or any planets. What i saw was dry and wet straws piled up on my corridor. At first, i cleaned them up, and wondered if the monsoon wind might blow them in. Days later, i was too lazy to sweep the floor. In stead, I looked up at the air-conditioing hanging on the wall. surprised!! There're a few pieces of straws up there too!! So, that's interesting.

my mission as a spy, thus, began.
